On May 25, 2026, the defense of team projects of first-year students of the specialty “Statistics” of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, implemented within the framework of the educational program with the support of Lviv IT Cluster, took place in the office of Sigma Software. During the academic semester, students worked on their own project developments, applying the acquired knowledge in practice and developing teamwork skills.

This year, 7 teams participated in the defense, presenting 7 different projects. Each team demonstrated its own vision of solving current problems, combining an analytical approach, creativity and modern technologies. The participants gained valuable experience in team cooperation, distribution of responsibilities, finding effective solutions and public presentation of their own developments.

According to the results of the jury’s evaluation, the RINGS team with the ReMech project won. The project is aimed at creating a personal assistant for students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. Its main goal is to support the learning process by providing quick and structured access to key mathematical materials necessary for learning and independent work.
